About The Product

What is Beyond The Sugar's bulk sweetener?

Beyond The Sugar makes a sugar replacement from monk fruit and allulose, with no erythritol. It has zero calories and zero sugar, and you use it 1:1 in place of sugar, same quantity, same recipe. Cafes, bakeries, restaurants and food brands buy it in bulk to make sugar-free drinks and desserts that still taste like the regular version.

What are monk fruit and allulose?

Monk fruit is a small melon from southern China. Its sweetness comes from natural compounds called mogrosides, which your body doesn't treat as sugar. Allulose is a rare sugar found in small amounts in corn, figs, raisins and jackfruit. It tastes and cooks like sugar, but the body doesn't use it for energy the way it uses regular sugar. In our blend, monk fruit brings the sweetness and allulose brings the body, browning and texture that a recipe needs.

What's in it?

Monk fruit and allulose. That's the formula. No erythritol, no sucralose, no stevia, no preservatives. The full ingredient declaration is on our spec sheet, which we share with every B2B buyer.

Why is there no erythritol in it?

Most monk fruit blends use erythritol as filler because it's cheap. In a professional kitchen it causes real problems. It re-crystallises as things cool, so ganache and frosting turn gritty. It leaves a cooling, minty feel on the tongue. And it doesn't brown in the oven. Allulose has none of those issues, which is why Beyond The Sugar is built on it.

Does it actually taste like sugar?

In coffee, chai and most desserts, most people can't tell the difference. No other sweetener s this close to sugar in terms of taste. There's no cooling effect and no chemical finish. A small number of people find it slightly less sweet than sugar, and if your customers do, add a little more. Honestly, the best test is your own counter: make two cups, one with sugar and one with ours, and let your staff guess.

Is it safe for diabetic customers?

The sweetener has zero sugar and is made from ingredients with a glycaemic index of zero. A large share of our retail customers manage diabetes or pre-diabetes. But your finished dish still has flour, milk, chocolate and everything else in it, so we'd suggest labelling it "no added sugar" on your menu rather than "diabetic-safe." That keeps you on the right side of FSSAI labelling rules and your customers' trust.

Is allulose safe?

Allulose is recognised as safe by the US FDA and is used widely in food and drinks in the US, Japan and Korea. It is approved in Autralia, New Zealand, Singapore, Chile, China as well. Most people notice nothing at normal serving sizes. Like most sugar alternatives, a small number of people are more sensitive and may feel some stomach discomfort if they have a lot in one go.

Is it vegan, gluten-free and keto-friendly?

Yes on all three for the sweetener. Monk fruit and allulose are both plant-derived, contain no gluten and add no net carbs. Our allergen declaration is part of the document pack we send.

Is Beyond The Sugar FSSAI licensed?

Yes. We're an FSSAI-licensed manufacturer and relabeler. [licence no. 11525997000587]. Before your first order we share our FSSAI licence, spec sheet, certificate of analysis, nutrition panel, allergen declaration, and shelf life and storage details.

Where is it made?

In our own manufacturing facility in Mumbai, maharashtra. Owning the facility means we control quality batch to batch and can take on large B2B volumes without depending on someone else's production calendar.

How to use it

How much do I use in place of sugar?

Same weight as sugar, 1:1. If your recipe says 100g sugar, use 100g Beyond The Sugar. We also share a conversion chart for common cafe and bakery items once you're set up. Some people feel that it is required a just a bit more than sugar so you use 1.25x the quantity of sugar.

Does it dissolve in coffee, chai and cold drinks?

Yes. It dissolves like sugar in hot drinks and in cold ones like iced coffee, cold brew, lemonade and shakes. No grainy bits at the bottom of the glass.

Can I bake with it?

Yes. It creams, bakes and browns like sugar. One thing to know: allulose browns faster than sugar, so drop your oven temperature by 10 to 15°C or pull the bake a few minutes early. It also holds moisture well, so cakes and brownies stay soft on day 2, which helps with display counter wastage.

Does it work in chocolate, ganache and frosting?

Yes, and this is where it beats erythritol blends most clearly. It doesn't re-crystallise as it cools, so ganache stays glossy and frosting stays smooth. No cooling aftertaste in chocolate either.

Can I use it in ice cream and gelato?

Yes. Allulose lowers the freezing point the way sugar does, so sugar-free ice cream stays scoopable instead of setting like a brick. It lowers it a little more than sugar, so you may want to tweak your base slightly on the first batch.

Does it work in Indian sweets like kheer, halwa or mithai?

Yes absolutely. You should check out our instagram page where people are making amazing Indian sweets using our Beyond The Sugar sweetener. It cooks like sugar, so milk-based desserts like kheer and payasam, Bengali sweets are a good place to start. They taste as if they are made using sugar. For mithai where sugar syrup sets the structure, like barfi or chikki, test a small batch first. With one or two iterations you will crack the taste and texture both. Tell us what you're making and we'll share what we know.

Will it change the shelf life of my bakes?

Allulose holds moisture, so soft bakes stay soft longer. The flip side: in humid weather, crisp cookies and biscuits can soften faster. Store them airtight.

How should I store it?

In a sealed container in a cool, dry place. Allulose pulls in moisture from the air, so keep the lid on, especially in coastal cities during the monsoon. Unopened shelf life is 24 months from manufacture.

Pricing and Ordering

How much does bulk supply cost?

Fill in the form above and we'll send the current rate list. The number that matters more for a cafe/bakery/restaurant is cost per serve: at our standard bulk rate it works out to roughly ₹7 of sweetener in a cappuccino and about ₹25 in a slice of cake.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No. You can start with a quantity as small as 1kg and scale up once it's working on your menu.

Do you offer a free trial for cafes and bakeries?

Yes. We provide free sample of 100g. Above that it is charged at a minimal b2b rate. We'll have a quick chat first about what you want to make, so we send the right amount.

Why does it cost more than sugar or sucralose sachets?

Because monk fruit and allulose cost several times more to produce than sugar, sucralose or erythritol. On a single cup, the difference against a sucralose sachet is about ₹2 to ₹3. What you get for that is a drink that tastes like sugar, is safe and in demand by the health conscious customer and a sweetener that also works in your bakes.

Can I charge more for sugar-free items on my menu?

Most premium cafes and bakeries already do. Sugar free products carry a inherent premium, so you can charge more. With about ₹23 of sweetener in a slice of cake, the margin on a sugar-free version usually comes out equal to or better than the regular one.

What pack sizes are available for bulk orders?

Depending on your order quantity we have custom packaging available. SO pack sizes wont be a problem. For larger regular orders we can talk about custom packing. We can provide individual sachets as well without the outer box.

Do you offer volume pricing?

Yes, we have pricing slabs available depending on your order quantity. Tell us your expected monthly usage on the form and we'll quote accordingly.

Can I buy it on Amazon instead?

Yes, our retail packs are on Amazon, Flipkart and our website, and plenty of chefs buy one there to test. For regular bulk use, buying directly from us works out much cheaper per kilo.

Do you supply the chocolate hazelnut spread in bulk?

Yes, we also supply our zero added sugar chocolate hazelnut spread in bulk. Packaging size can be custom depending on your quantity. We can supply in our retail 300g squeezy bottles and 300g jars as well.
